Emceeing, Master of Ceremonies, is one of the critical elements to a successful event. So is having fun! Fun for everyone, including the Event Manager. I like to have fun, and I’m super comfortable with public speaking, storytelling, and 'front-end' event management. This allows Event Managers to do the all-important ‘back-end’ operation. If needed, I’m happy to sweep up messes saliently too. Seriously, I’m OCD about OCD, so you don’t have to be. Those who have been emceeing for quite some time know how many clean-ups they have to do during unplanned changes, and the internal calm and confidence required to do so. It’s simple, you look at the audience and pretend they’re all in chicken suits.
The Ceremonial Experience can be explained like this: the venue is the plane, the ceremony is the airline, and the audience is the passengers. I’m confident I can fly and land your passengers smoothly. I even know a United Airlines Captain, Mr. Anthony Newcomb, so we can call on a literal pilot if needed. Remember, just like any other flight, there can be some turbulence. Comedy usually helps smooth these out.
